Marketing Campaign

John Soules Foods (MBA Project)

Role: Creative Direction | Design | Campaign Development

As part of an MBA Marketing Management project, I contributed to the development of a full creative campaign for the launch of three new frozen chicken sandwich products by John Soules Foods.

I was solely responsible for translating research and strategy into cohesive visual and digital marketing assets designed for both in-store and online engagement.

My Role

I led the creative direction and execution of all visual assets, including campaign design, social media mockups, and video concepts. I ensured that all creative elements aligned with the brand identity, target audience, and campaign objectives.

Strategy & Thinking

The campaign was built around the idea of convenience and family-oriented meals, reflected in the tagline “Less cooking, more time to enjoy life.”

Visual elements were designed to highlight both product appeal and lifestyle context, combining food-focused imagery with relatable family scenarios.

Social media assets were structured to support targeted advertising strategies and performance tracking through platform analytics (e.g., Instagram insights, YouTube analytics), ensuring the campaign could be optimized based on audience engagement.

Documentary

Smooth Transitions Program

I produced a short-form documentary highlighting the Smooth Transitions program at Capital University, designed to support and guide incoming first-year students as they adapt to university life.

The video was created to communicate the program’s purpose through authentic student experiences and was used for promotional content on admissions social media platforms.

My Role

I independently led all aspects of production, including location scouting, set design, directing, filming, interviewing, editing, color grading, and audio post-production. From concept to final delivery, I shaped the narrative to ensure all elements aligned with the program’s message and audience.

Storytelling Approach

The project focused on weaving together multiple student perspectives into a cohesive narrative. Through a combination of interviews and supporting b-roll, I structured the video to highlight both the emotional and practical impact of the program. Careful sequencing of interview segments and visual storytelling techniques were used to reinforce key themes of transition, support, and community.

Use

The video was utilized as promotional content for admissions focused social media, helping communicate the value of the program to prospective students through authentic, story-driven messaging.

Short-Form Video

Spec Ad: New Balance “Now, Repeat.“ (10-second loop)

A short-form spec ad for New Balance designed for digital and social media platforms, focusing on fast-paced, visually driven storytelling.

Objective & Audience

The objective of this piece was to create an engaging, fast-paced short-form ad that captures attention quickly and maintains viewer interest through rapid pacing and visual intensity.

The content is targeted toward digitally active audiences, particularly those engaged with short-form content on platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

Creative Approach

The video was structured around a looping narrative, reinforced by a final “Now, repeat” cue that returns the viewer to the beginning.

Visual repetition, day-to-night transitions, and glitch effects were used alongside drum-and-bass audio to create intensity and reflect the physical and mental experience of sustained movement.

A 4:3 aspect ratio was chosen to evoke film-like visuals while maintaining a modern digital aesthetic.

Role: Motion Graphics Designer | Editor

Motion graphics developed to support voiceover driven informational content, with a focus on clarity, pacing, and visual reinforcement.

This work was created for Capital University’s International Student Application Guide, ensuring alignment with institutional brand guidelines, including color, typography, and visual style.

Animated text and graphic elements were used to emphasize key information and improve audience comprehension. The full video can be found on my videography page.

Software: Adobe After Effects

Description

Demonstration of a color grading workflow using a color chart captured on set to ensure accurate and consistent results in post-production.

By recording reference footage before production, I establish a baseline for exposure and color correction, enabling efficient grading and consistent visual output across the final video.
